OK This one is pretty long. Let me start by saying I do NOT think all of these photos are of great quality. Why, then, am I posting them? ...Because many were experiments and others I like just because they document the day.
This was our first time meeting people from the group, except for Huge, who we already knew and who is basically the organizer. I really feel like I made 10 new friends that day. They were all SO nice and how cool is it that in this day and age we have online social networking, making it oh so easy for us all to keep in touch! :)
We stopped in China Town first to grab some dim sum. Happened upon this protest after we ate, while we were on our way to the metro to go to Parc Jean Drapeau.
These 2 are just to show a neat effect Steve showed me. I don't think I'll be using it to this extreme, but with it so noticeable in the 2nd photo, you can see what the effect is.

Protesters left the square just after we did and walked past us.
We later found out that this mural had just been painted earlier that day! I was playing around in Lightroom and came up with this (the actual mural isn't so vivid)
Blurry, I know. This wasn't really a planned shot, but I liked the way the passing lights illuminated the graffiti scratched into the metro window.

This one looked pretty retro right off the camera so I enhanced it a bit for fun. I like retro looking shots with warm tones, but I haven't really experimented much with them.
Typical reeds shot. Could be sharper.
I thought her hood would look good with the puffs on the reeds behind her. I think I can make this photo a bit better but I haven't taken the time yet.

Wish I'd had a slightly faster shutter speed... wasn't ready for it to fly yet!
Greedy, fat squirrels.
Not crisp at all, I know but I just thought it was pretty neat that the woman walked into my shot, causing that trail.
